A special ceremony was held on March 18th at 1:30.

Shane's Signs!   "In Memory of Shane Kielion"
More BRNA signs have gone up around the area.  Three of the new signs have been dedicated to Shane Kielion.  Shane died last year in Iraq.    He was born and raised on 33rd Street.  There was a special ceremony on August 9th at Dahlman and L Streets where one of his signs has been hung.  The other two are on 33rd Street near his boyhood home and by Pulaski Park where he loved to play.  Shane's parents, representatives from the Marines and Senator Preister were present for the ceremony along with friends and relatives.   TV coverage of the event was by all local channels.   Two flags have been mounted just above the signs.  One is the US flag and the other is the Marine flag.
