BRNA's  Neighbors in Need!
BRNA has a program called NIN, Neighbors in Need.  

2008
BRNA members have donated food and money to help poor families in the South Omaha area.   $409 was collected for the purchase of Thanksgiving Turkeys.  Member Mark Dasovic, Board Member Virgil Patlan and President Rebecca Barrientos-Patlan presented the money and items to Mission For All Nations.  BRNA has always stepped up to help, especially when the need is in  South Omaha.

Mission For All Nations's mission statement is  'Putting God's Love For all People into Action'.  Pastor Anaya and Family have seen the need in the South Omaha area, and acted on it.  They serve up to 1000 families a week, whether food, drink or clothing.  Mission For All Nations is there with opened doors to meet those needs.   If  you have extra food, drink or clothing or even household items, you can drop them off every Saturday at 5210 So. 21st Street. (733-1904)

BRNA Donates Piano to St. Stan's
In graditude for letting our association use their school hall for meetings and gatherings, BRNA and an anonymous family presented St. Stanislaus with a piano!    It will be used by the children during their music classes and for other occasions.





2006
Julie Chandler lives on 34th and D Street.   She has an immediate need.   The city sent her papers notifying her that she will be fined if her garage is not repaired soon.  Julie is a single parent and is financially unable at this time to do the repairs.   BRNA stepped in to help.  All the materials were donated along with volunteer workers!   Fox 42 came to interview her and Mark Fields, BRNA's board member.   They gave a wonderful report on their nightly news.

Rebecca Patlan delivered gloves and hats to Ashland/Robbins' principal.   BRNA collected several bags full of hats and gloves for the school children during our recent Hat/Glove Drive!  Thanks to all who donated!  The warmth of your hearts will warm the children!
